How to Add Infonic AI Chatbot to WordPress
This guide shows the reviewed workflow for plugin version 1.4.4. Back up your WordPress site before installing any plugin.
Install the plugin
Download the installable ZIP. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, install it, and activate it.
Connect your account
Open the Infonic AI setup screen. Review the linked Terms and Privacy Policy, give explicit consent, and connect or create your account. No content is sent before connection.
Select content
Choose only the published posts or pages the chatbot should use. Drafts, private and password-protected content are excluded. Save your selection, then select Sync content now.
Customize and test
Choose the widget title, greeting, colors and avatar. Test common questions and at least one question your content does not answer. Confirm the fallback and optional email-follow-up behavior match your policy.
Keep it accurate
Update the underlying content when business facts change. Review conversations and re-test important questions. Disconnecting stops new transmissions but does not itself delete hosted account data; use the dashboard deletion controls or contact support for hosted-data deletion.
